Memoni Chana Daal Step 1
Chana daal 1/2 cup
Washed with lukewarm water n boil separately in 1 glass water.
In a deep skillet with a heavy bottom, heat 2 glasses of water and add moong dal ( washed ) 1 cup, and masoor daal ( washed) 1 cup.
And let them boil. When moong daal and masoor daal r half done add boiled chana daal in it and now let them boil till completely done. Use a wooden spoon.
Memoni Chana Daal Step 2
Meanwhile, prepare masala for daal :
Ingredients
Oil 1 cup
Ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp
Tomatoes ( medium-sized) 5 cut into slices
Fried onions 3/4 cup
Bottle gourd ( lauki) 1/2 kg
Cut into thick pieces
Spinach ( palak ) 1 1/2 cup
Remove stems, Finely chopped and washed
Fenugreek leaves ( methi leaves) 1 tbsp
Fresh dill ( soya) 1/2 bunch remove stems n cut roughly,
Green chilies 8
Red chili powder 2 tbsp
Turmeric powder 1 tbsp
Coriander powder 2 tbsp
Salt 1 tbsp
Water 1 big cup for bhunofy masala
In a pan heat oil, add ginger garlic paste, sauté, now add tomato slices and cover for 5 minutes, after 5 minutes tomatoes get soft now add fried onions, lauki , spinach, methi leaves, soya, green chilies, mix well
In a separate bowl mix red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, salt, and water, mix well and add with the vegetables.
Let them cook. When oil separates n turns into nice bhuna masala,
Remove from heat
Now put all this masala with boiled daal. Mix, ghota with a wooden spoon,
Turn heat on medium-low heat. So all masala cook completely with lauki n veggies.
Memoni Chana Daal Step 3: making Tarka
In a pan heat 1/2 cup oil, add garlic 2 whole bulbs cut into slices,
Button red chilies 6-8
Zeera 2 tbsp
Fresh curry leaves 6
Green chilies 2 cut into 4
Now put this tarka on daal immediately
Do not overcook tarka
Add tarka when daal is completely done.
Memoni Chana Daal Step 4: making of zeera rice:
Wash n soak 3 cups rice.
Heat 1 cup ghee, add 1 tbsp zeera n 3 green chilies with 3 tsp salt, sauté for a while and add 3 glasses water, when water comes to boil add presoaked rice, mix and cook on medium high heat till water dry. Mix well and
Put it on dum.
Serve hot with daal n naan.
