Thai Chicken Cashew Nut – How To Make Chicken Cashew Nut |
Cashew chicken is a Chinese-American meal that conglomerates
chicken with cashews and either a light brown garlic sauce prepared from
chicken stock, soy sauce and oyster sauce. The traditional version of cashew
chicken is stir-fried in a wok. Tender chunks of chicken are collective with crunchy
roasted cashews, veggies and are tossed in a light sauce made from garlic, soy
sauce, and hoisin sauce, diluted with water.
Thai Chicken Cashew Nut Ingredients
Onion – 1 cube cut
Capsicum – half cube cut
Carrots – Half-thick 1-inch length cut
Zucchini – Half-thick 1 inch length cut
Garlic – 1 clove chopped
Green chili – half-deseeded chopped
Mushrooms – 2 sliced
Whole red chilies - 5
Chicken breast – 150gm

Chicken breast cube – 150gm
White pepper – 1 pinch
Salt – 1 pinch
Oil – 1tsp
Egg – white
Cornflour – 2 tsp
Oil – for deep fry

Ketchup – 5tbsp
Oyster – 1tsp
Dark soya sauce – 1tsp
Worcestershire sauce – 1tsp
White vinegar – 2 tsp
Honey – 2 tsp
Sugar – 2 tsp
Red chili sauce – 1tsp
Thai Chicken Cashew Nut Preparation method
Capsicum – half cube cut
Carrots – Half-thick 1-inch length cut
Zucchini – Half-thick 1 inch length cut
Garlic – 1 clove chopped
Green chili – half-deseeded chopped
Mushrooms – 2 sliced
Whole red chilies - 5
Chicken breast – 150gm
Chicken breast cube – 150gm
White pepper – 1 pinch
Salt – 1 pinch
Oil – 1tsp
Egg – white
Cornflour – 2 tsp
Oil – for deep fry
Ketchup – 5tbsp
Oyster – 1tsp
Dark soya sauce – 1tsp
Worcestershire sauce – 1tsp
White vinegar – 2 tsp
Honey – 2 tsp
Sugar – 2 tsp
Red chili sauce – 1tsp
- Cut onions, capsicum, carrots, zucchini, garlic, green chilies, mushrooms and keep aside
- Now marinate chicken and keep aside for marination and deep fry.
- When the chicken turns golden brown keep aside.
- Prepare the sauce in a cup, mix all the sauce ingredients in a bowl and keep aside.
- Now ½ cup oil in a wok and fry capsicum, zucchini, whole red chilies, onions, mushrooms and fry for 2 minutes on high flame and drain away from the oil and keep veggies aside.
- Now add 2tsp oil in a wok and add garlic chopped after a minute add green chili mix for 2 min and add sauce and mix for a minute well.
- Now add veggies and fried chicken and mix well for 3 minutes
- Chicken cashew nut is ready, garnish with green onions and cashew nut
- Serve with fried rice.
