Nihari (Lahori style)

Ingredients for Nihari
1kg beef + nalli yakhni
3 tbsp red chilli ground
1 tbsp saunf,zeera ground
Quarter tbsp jaifil javitri
Quarter tbsp sonth
Half tbsp garam masala ground
1 tbsp salt
Half cup atta
1tbsp Lahson ground
Method for preparing Nihari
Put Lahson and beef pieces in oil. Fry very little then put all the ground masala and fry a bit, not too much ,otherwise masala will turn dark. Add the atta with little water in this. When it completely mixes with masala put enough water for the meat to become tender. The gravy should be a bit thick. Serve with lime, green chillies cut thinly, adrak cut thin and hara dhania. The aroma which comes out of this nihari is very tempting.
