Ingredients for Chana Dal Biryani
Daal channa boiled 1 cup
Rice 1 1/2 cup (soaked for 25 minutes)
Oil 1/2 cup
Onion 1 medium
Garlic 1 1/2 tbsp
Tomatoes 2 big size
Button chilies 5
Green chilies 5
Red chili powder 1/2 tbsp( u can add according to your taste I prefer medium spicy)
Salt to taste
Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
Garam masala 1/2 tsp
Chana Dal Biryani preparation method
In a vessel put oil and add onions fry until become translucent then add garlic saute for 2 minutes. Put tomatoes and all spices except green chilies and bhunofy until tomatoes r done.
Now add boiled daal channa and bhunofy it for 5 minutes more.
Now add 3 cups of water in it. When it starts boiling add rice. Let it cook on little high flame for 5 minutes then on a medium flame for 10 minutes. Now add green chilies and put it on dum. Your biryani is ready
