Arhar ki Daal

Recipe:
*Boil 1 mug soaked (for half hr) daal in pressure cooker دیگچی until froth appears on the surface. Discard the froth with a large کفگیر. Then add :
Ginger garlic paste 1 FULL tbsp
Chillie powder, salt, haldi, (all to taste)
Sliced onion one largish sized (کچی پیاز)
Sliced tomatoes 2 largish.
Apply pressure for good 15 mints (adjust time according to your cooker characteristic)
After opening, cook to adjust consistency and add few whole fresh gree chillies just a mint before taking off the stove
Bhagar: sliced onion, zeera sabut, kari patta, red dry whole chillies
Garnish with hara dhanys
TIPS:
* Do not keep daal arher in your store for more than a couple of months. Old daal does not cook well
* Use a generous amount of ginger
* Served ideally with boiled rice
