Tandoori biryani

Ingredients:
For Gravy
Oil one and a half cup
Onions 4-5 medium sized thinly sliced
Chicken 1 KG
Ginger Garlic Paste 2 Tbsp
Tandoori Masala 1 Pack
Bombay Biryani 1 Pack
Tomatoes 3-4 small sized
Mint, Cilantro and Green Chillies (according to your need)
Yoghurt 1 cup
I added 3 potatoes too
For Rice
Water for boiling rice
Rice 1 KG
Salt 3-4 Teaspoons
8-9 cloves
3-4 peppercorns
2-3 small cinnamon stick
3-4 green cardamoms
2 black cardamoms
Cumin Seeds 1 Tablespoon
2 bay leaves
Kewra 1/2 Tsp
Biryani Essence 1/2 Tsp
Vinegar 2 Tsp
For Layering:
Orange Food Colour (I mixed mine in milk)
Yellow Food Colour (I mixed mine in milk)
Mint, Cilantro and Green Chillies
Brown Onions
Lemon 2-3 sliced
Boil rice and keep it aside.
Golden fry onions and keep them aside ( I used half in preparing the gravy and used half as the top layer while giving dum). In the same oil add chicken, gg paste and mix. Add masalas and mix. Add yoghurt and some water. I added potatoes at this point and let them cook for good half hour. Later added mint, coriander and chillies and made layers. Covered it with fried onions and kept on dum.
Please adjust spices accordingly as this turned out very spicy.
