Balushahi
Ingredients for BalushahiMaida 1 1/2 cup
Baking soda 1/4 tsp
Ghee 6tbs
Cold yogurt 8 tbs
Ghee/ oil for deep frying
For sugar syrup
2 cup sugar
1 cup water (2 taar)
Balushahi preparation method
Sieve flour baking soda together then add ghee, yogurt and if required add little cold water to make a medium soft dough leave it to rest in cold place or in the fridge for 15/20 min. Now make a sugar syrup and let it cool down After 15/20 min makes small balls and give them the doughnuts 🍩 shape make all the balls and let it rest for 10 min meanwhile heat the oil. Oil temp should be very low to check the temp of the oil put the tiny piece of dough in the oil if small bubbles rise then your oil is ready for frying now fry the doughnut on low heat. Gradually they will float to the top. Now put the temperature to medium and gently turn them on the other side till golden. Drain and allow them to cool to room temperature
Now soak them in sugar syrup for 4/5 min and then garnish them with pistachios and Almonds and enjoy.
