Cinnamon Swirl Cake - Bundt Cake Recipe - Spice Cake - Swirl Cake


Spiced Cinnamon Swirl Cake



Ingredients for the cake 
Use measuring cups for better results
Flour / maida 3 cups
Butter 1&1/2 cup
Brown sugar 1 cup
Powdered white sugar 1/2 cup
Eggs 4 large
Full fat yogurt/ sour cream /Greek yogurt 1/2 cup
Full fat milk 1/2 cup
Baking powder 1&1/2 teaspoon
Cinnamon powder 1 teaspoon
Salt a pinch
Vanilla extract 1 teaspoon
Spiced cinnamon swirl
Brown sugar 1/2 cup
Cinnamon powder (Bari elachi) 1 teaspoon
All spices powder (garam masala)  1/2 teaspoon
Ginger powder 1/2 teaspoon
Cardamom powder (choti elachi powder)  1 teaspoon

Method
Cream the butter with sugar in the stand mixer / hand beater
Add eggs to the mixture one by one
Then add full fat yogurt 🍦/ Greek yogurt/ sour cream to it ! Don’t worry about curdling
Now add sifted flour , baking powder and all other dry ingredients
Lastly add milk to the batter and
Mix with the spatula
Divide the batter into two halves
Transfer one half to the greased baking tin
Now put the cinnamon swirl layer on the top of the batter
-Then add the second half of the batter over the mixture
Bake for 40-50 min on slow to medium heat 100-150* Celsius until the tooth pick/ cake tester comes out to be clean < this cake is rich and dense so should be baked slowly for longer duration
Cool completely over the rack before turning it up
Dust with icing sugar

Always grease the pan and line with baking paper < many videos available on YouTube how to grease a pan and how to line with baking paper the round or square tin
Allow the oven to fully preheat first for 15-  20min
Bake in the centre of the oven over the middle rack
Bake in the size of pan specified in the recipe
Don't try to double the recipe. ..
Use fresh ingredients and all ingredients should be  room temperature
